ABOUT

Minnesota Soccer Camps are run by Gopher’s Head Coach, Erin Chastain and her talented staff. The camps feature several programs, College ID Camps, Youth Development Camps and Goalkeeper Academies. Coach Chastain more than 20 years of coaching experience. She’s spent the past 14 years at DePaul with other stops at Santa Clara and Northwestern. The Plymouth Minnesota Native returns to the University of Minnesota after her decorated career as a Gopher. Chastain, who was a four-year starter and three-year captain for the Gophers in the 1990s, is the fifth head coach in program history.

The Gopher’s staff have a proven record for developing talent and use that same focus and attention to detail in their camp programs. A great deal of value is put in hiring quality coaches with proven reputations for developing and evaluating talent. In our ID Camps, it is our goal to provide you with guidance and insight into what it takes to reach the next level and become a collegiate soccer player. The Youth Development Camps concentrate on player development through serious soccer training in a fun and safe environment. Tarah Hobbs, our Volunteer Assistant Goalkeeper coach, runs the Keeper sessions during camps that have specialized training for the position focusing on the necessary skills and tactics to further your development as a keeper.
